Homeopathic Remedies

Homeopathic remedies can be prepared in powdered, pill or liquid form. The pill form is most commonly used.


Homeopathic Potencies

When a homeopathic remedy is selected to be taken, the particular strength is identified by a number, usually written on the label. Homeopathic remedies start life when the original substance is prepared into a mother tincture; from there the dilution process continues. There is the decimal scale: (1:10, X, D) the letters refer to Roman numerals. And the centesimal scale: (1:100), 1 part of tincture is mixed with 99 parts of alcohol and successed (shaken) to yield the 1C potency. Taking 1 part of that potency 99 parts of alcohol is added and successed to yield the 2c.

There are also Q, 50-millesimal potencies, LM, O/LM potencies. LM preparations involve dilutions in a 50,000 to 1 ratio. Remedies above the 12c potency contain no physical substance. Homeopathic remedies are vibrational medicines, sometimes called 'spiritual', highly diluted and delicate. Discerning the best potency to use in the case, is part of the art of the homeopath.
When taking remedies avoid touching them. Pour the pellets into the cap, and from there pour into your mouth and allow to dilute under your tongue.
